Overview

This course meets NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Led Training (ILT) objectives, teaching basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely use a handgun, revolvers, semi-automatics, and other handguns. Completing this course will teach you lessons in safety, Gun handling, fundamentals of marksmanship, various firing positions, shooting several practical exercises, cleaning, storage, handgun sports and activities.

Anyone who wants to learn to safely use a handgun or get better at handling their handgun.

NRA Basic Pistol – Phase 2   (Qualification Only)
Focus exclusively on range qualification in this advanced, live-fire course, perfect for those who have already taken the NRA online portion, mastered the basics and are ready to validate their pistol handling and marksmanship skills.  This is a five-hour qualification, all held at the range.

 

NRA Basic Pistol   (Instructor-Led Training)
This Instructor-led training class contains both classroom and live-fire practice on the range.  This is ideal for those seeking a robust, hands-on foundation in pistol skills and safety and is completed in one day.

 

NRA Basic Pistol Blended   (Online + Qualification)
Combine the convenience of online learning with practical range qualification in this hybrid course, designed for students who want to build essential pistol knowledge at their own pace before demonstrating proficiency on the range.  After registration, you will receive a link to your online coursework.  Once completed, schedule your five-hour qualification, which will take place at the range.
