Overview

PSP does not have a Level I Security Officer. You must be a Level II to be a Level III; you must also be a Level III to be a Level IV. A Personal Protection Officer (Level IV) is not required to wear a uniform and can carry a Firearm along with a Baton, ECD, and OC if trained. 

P3TC offers a Combo Course that includes Levels II, III, and IV in one 4-day class.

>Specific hours vary, but plan to begin at 0730 and end around 18:00 hours.  Range fees, ammunition, and other expenses are not included. Firearm rentals are available.
>OC Pepper Spray and CED are no longer part of this course but are offered during the same training week. You may check the schedule and register for OC Pepper Spray training at www.P³TCus.com.
>Students may also be able to get there License to Carry Handgun (LTC) certificate at a discount.

Code 1), a criminal conviction may disqualify you from a Commission or license under the Act. Security Officer pay rates vary by account and assignment. Upon graduation and obtaining successful employment, Level II position pay rates average about $10.00 per hour, Level III average pay rates are about $12.00-$13.00, and Level IV Officers can make anywhere between $35.00-$85.00 and hour. Overtime is often available if Officers are willing and available to work extra hours.
