Overview
The NRA Basic Shotgun Instructor Course prepares experienced shotgun shooters to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitude required for safe and effective shotgun use. This course follows NRA Instructor Led Training (ILT) standards and covers safety, gun handling, marksmanship fundamentals, shooting positions, practical exercises, cleaning, storage, and an introduction to shotgun sports. Students learn how to present this material clearly and confidently so they can train others to operate shotguns safely and responsibly.
The NRA Instructor Training Courses consists of two parts:
Part one: Basic Instructor Training (Must be current within two-years.)
Part two: The specific discipline training e.g. CRSO, Rifle, Pistol, Home Firearms Safety, etc.
